Your wedding

Villa Antiche Mura was a private family home until 2003 and now hosts only weddings and events. It stands on the Sorrento cliff, inside an old citrus grove, about 3 minutes by car from Piazza Tasso. Symbolic ceremonies take place on the terrace above the bay, with your own celebrant or an English-speaking one through the villa. A legally binding Protestant ceremony led by a Valdese pastor can also be held here, and the villa has hosted Hindu and Persian weddings.

Your stay

There are no overnight rooms at the villa. Instead, couples have a bridal suite with a private bathroom from arrival until midnight, and since 2023 can reserve up to 3 rooms for getting ready from about 11am.

For a civil wedding, couples marry at the Sorrento cloister, 4 minutes away, or at Museo Correale or Villa Fondi, then come to the villa. Aperitivo spreads across the 2 terraces, around 400 sq m in total, and dinner can be a buffet or a formal gala service. The 130 sq m lobby seats more than 100 if the weather turns.

Guests stay in central Sorrento. The villa works with 2 partner hotels, Hotel Antiche Mura and Hotel Michelangelo, both 4-star superior, and helps find apartments and villas too. From town, guests can reach Capri, Pompeii, Positano and the Amalfi Coast, and the villa itself has direct access to the sea.
