Koro Sun Resort lets couples choose from a wide spread of settings across its 160 acres: the beach, the Seaside Patio, the Main Bure, the rainforest or the Mountain Top Villa, and the team will consider any other spot you have fallen for. Ceremonies are led by a Methodist minister or a celebrant from the nearby village, and you can keep it private or invite other resort guests to watch. For something different, the resort also offers underwater weddings.

Your stay

There are 56 bures and villas. Botanical Bures (29) sit in the gardens, the 17 Edgewater bures on the lagoon are adults only, 6 Family Edgewater villas and pool bures suit families, and the Koro Villa Collection has 4 private villas of 1 to 5 bedrooms. In the rainforest, a 2-storey treetop bure suits the couple.

The resort recommends a stay of at least 5 nights, with the ceremony set at least 2 days after arrival so there is time for the registry office visit that makes the marriage legal. Afterwards, the Edgewater Lagoon restaurants, Sand Bar and Grill and Latitude 17, give you waterfront options for dinner, while Palm Grove handles the bigger meals.

Between events, guests have 2 pools, a 9-hole golf course, tennis and pickleball, kayaking and guided snorkelling, plus excursions to Split Rock, the Salt Lake and a pearl farm. The Rainforest Spa sits beside a stream in 3 treatment bures.
