Sad news this morning from one of our favourite Glee stars, with confirmation that after just two years of marriage, Naya Rivera has filed for divorce from her husband Ryan Dorsey.
Naya filed for divorce with the Los Angeles County Court and us seeking primary custody of the pair’s 14-month old son, Josey, with Ryan getting visitation rights only.
Naya and Ryan married in July 2014 on the exact same date that Naya had planned to marry her ex-fiance, Big Sean (Naya and Big Sean split only three months before her wedding to Ryan).
Their son Josey was born in September 2015. The pair released a joint statement to Us on Monday 21 November (US time).
“After much consideration, we have made the decision to end our marriage. Our priority is and always will be our beautiful son that we share together. We will continue to be great co-parenting partners for him. We ask for respect and privacy for our family during this difficult time.”
