New Zealanders Danielle and Matt Fontanesi were enjoying their three-week honeymoon in the USA when Matt got violently ill on a flight. The couple assumed Matt had come down with the flu, but after further testing, they received the heart-breaking news that Matt had an aggressive form of blood cancer. Now stuck overseas, with Matt too unwell to travel, the couple are facing everyone’s worst nightmare.
He has started chemo and the only way he and his new Bride can kiss is through hospital masks to stop the spread of germs. He is now facing up to 100 days isolation and medical bills upwards of $80,000.
