If not, the comeback of 70’s embroidery is a common sight now, especially the trend of 3D appliques combined with groovy yet sensational floral lace.
It’s just another 70s theme creating down-to-earth simplicity. Naeem Khan channels the folk decorative outlet in naive motifs and handicraft floral touches – whats the difference? Colour! The mood may be primitive but the luscious warmth of yellow contrasted with the coldness of blue frost is sublime.
Enhancing the retro concept, Khan revisited one of the upsurging and hottest motifs: the fringe. Utilising them in the most extravagant and show-stopping ways, the designer embellished everything from the sleeves to the hem. Fallen head-over-heels yet?
