Blair’s surprise proposal came during the couple’s trip to Sorrento, Italy, after a beautiful day exploring Capri, followed by a magical dinner in Sorrento where they went for a romantic walk and Blair chose to propose looking over the Amalfi coast.
Blair and Bethany were married at St. Francis Xavier Berrima in the Southern Highlands with their reception held at Summerlees, in Sutton Forest, featuring a beautiful colour theme of rich plums, pinks and greens, which set the scene for their awe-inspiring country rustic feast style wedding.
“I’m very old fashioned so when I saw Summerlees in the Southern Highlands I fell in love with it. It has an old Victorian charm, relaxed yet sophisticated country feel. It was also a great chance for us and our friends/family to have a weekend away together,” Bethany told Wedded Wonderland.
Reflecting back on their special day, the couple told Wedded Wonderland their favourite moment of the day was, “Sitting down at the table for dinner, taking a minute and looking at everyone happy and busy talking, and taking in the whole visual effect that was exactly how we imagined and better.”
