Dominic proposed to Ayse during their get-away to the Great Barrier Reef. On the first evening of their trip, he asked her to close her eyes as he had a present for her. When she opened her eyes there in front of her was the most beautiful ring she had ever seen!
Fast forward to the romantic, intimate and glamorous destination wedding in the south-west of France at the beautiful Chateau La Durantie, with 30 of their closest family and friends, where both the ceremony and reception took place on the grounds of the beautiful property spread over acres of the country side.” We knew that we wanted to spoil our guests with a once in a lifetime experience – we were so grateful that they had travelled so far for us this was really the very least that we could do. With such a close group of friends and family the wedding was filled with the most intimate and comfortable atmosphere – it was relaxed and felt ‘easy’, despite how decadent it was at the very same time,” the couple told Wedded Wonderland.
Ayse told Wedded Wonderland one of the most memorable moments of their special day was at the altar, “We had spent the previous week in Paris eating our weight in éclairs and macaroons so when it came time to exchange our rings mine struggled to fit! Dominic very casually whispered ‘too many pastries’ to me at the altar as he finally managed to fit my finger into my wedding ring.” Hilarious!
Discussing the challenges they faced, one of the biggest issues they encountered when planning their destination wedding was the language barrier when working with suppliers. However in the end everything worked out perfectly with the most beautiful outcome!
