A Trifecta Of Cultures For The Most Perfect Wedding

Carlos planned the most emotional and heartfelt proposal – a road trip to the 12 Apostles with Maria, her sister and brother-in-law. Having taken Maria to the 12 Apostles before, once they reached her favourite spot, he poured out his heart to her and started crying. Maria’s brother-in-law handed her a beautiful bunch of flowers that read “will you marry me?” and Carlos got down on one knee and popped the question, followed by a romantic picnic for the two of them.

The couple’s wedding was nothing short of laughter, tears of happiness and heartfelt words. Together they tied the knot on the deck at Luminare, overlooking the gorgeous city of Melbourne.

Maria describes the moment every girl dreams about, and the highlight of her wedding; “I remember walking down the aisle and seeing Carlos cry so much he had to cover his face. I was so honoured to be marrying a man like him, and I couldn’t stop smiling”.

The theme of the couple’s wedding was simple and elegant, with touches of white and gold details. Their cultural mix of Assyrian, Spanish and English roots was present throughout the entertainment for the wedding and brought together cultural traditions from both the bride and the groom’s side.

“If we could do it all again, we wouldn’t change a thing. It was the best day of our lives and every time we watch the videos or see photos, we both get so overwhelmed with emotion and can’t believe how perfect our day truly was”.

Congratulations Maria and Carlos!
