Today the National Gallery of Victoria unveiled the world-premiere exhibition Viktor & Rolf: Fashion Artists. Yesterday we were lucky enough to get a preview of the amazing exhibition and hear from Viktor and Rolf – and so were you if you were follow us on Snapchat and Instagram!
The exhibition features over 40 exquisite Haute Couture garments, 22 hand-made porcelain dolls in miniaturised couture and never-before-seen tapestries, archival video and photographs.
Viktor & Rolf have always felt like outsiders of the fashion world due to their rebellious approach to design. Even though they started their partnership together in Haute Couture, they have always been known for creating ‘wearable art’ rather than just fashion. Either way, their creations elicit such beauty, fun and imagination that it inspires the audience just by looking at it. Allow us to take you into their world with our favourite, Top 10 picks from the exhibition that we’re sure you’ll fall in love with as much as us:

The following dress was made with red carpet for their Red Carpet Collection in Fall 2014. They were inspired by the fact that many dresses seen in Haute Couture collections reappear on red carpets the world over, so rather than make a dress for the red carpet, they made a dress with red carpet.
The following coat was also a part of the Red Carpet Collection in Fall 2014.
