Zoey Deutch is officially off the market!
The actress, known for her scene-stealing roles in Set It Up, Not Okay, Something from Tiffany’s, and basically every millennial-favorite rom-com of the last decade, has confirmed that she’s engaged to comedian Jimmy Tatro.
On Sunday, Zoey shared the news with her Instagram followers, casually dropping the bombshell that she’s been engaged for three months.
“Three months engaged to the love of my life,” she captioned a sweet selfie, showing off her dazzling new ring while beaming at her fiancé.
The couple has been together since 2021, first going Instagram official on Valentine’s Day. Since then, fans have gotten small but endearing glimpses into their relationship, from funny birthday tributes to laid-back hangs with friends like ex-couple Nina Dobrev and Shaun White.
Zoey once joked that she and Jimmy are “total polar opposites,” but honestly, that’s what makes them such a great match. As she explained on the Betches U Up? podcast in 2022: “I would be so bored if I was dating someone who agreed with me on everything.”
Well, opposites clearly attract because here they are, engaged and glowing.
Forget over-the-top extravagance: Jimmy kept the proposal personal, intimate, and completely Zoey.
The comedian popped the question on the beach, barefoot and dressed in a crisp white shirt and pants. Meanwhile, Zoey looked radiant in a sunny yellow halter dress (because let’s be honest, even her “casual” looks scream effortlessly chic).
The setting was simple but swoon-worthy: cozy pillows laid out on the sand, celebratory drinks within arm’s reach, and the ocean as their backdrop. No big flash mobs or fireworks, just a quiet, meaningful setup that let the moment take center stage. Naturally, Zoey said yes.
She later shared more snaps of the proposal on Instagram, including one where Jimmy hugged her from behind while she flashed her new ring. It was all very “Netflix rom-com, directed by Nancy Meyers,” soft lighting included.
Jewelry experts estimate Zoey’s sparkler to be a square cushion-cut diamond weighing approximately four carats, E-F color, and VS clarity. Translation: it’s big, it’s brilliant, and it’s incredibly high quality.
The design itself leans classic and timeless, with subtle nods to the Art Deco era thanks to its elegant proportions and clean lines. It’s the kind of ring that looks just as chic in 2025 as it would’ve in 1925. According to some gemologists, a natural stone of this caliber could be valued at around $190,000.
Zoey is no stranger to iconic fashion moments, and it looks like her engagement ring is about to join the list.
Their friends are just as excited as their fans. Stars like Camila Mendes, Brenda Song, Lucy Hale, Sarah Hyland, Vanessa Hudgens, and Claudia Sulewski all flooded Zoey’s comments with love and congrats.
The wedding details haven’t been revealed yet, but one thing’s for sure: with Zoey’s impeccable style and Jimmy’s knack for comedy, their big day is going to be equal parts chic and fun.
From the understated beach proposal to the jaw-dropping Art Deco-inspired ring, it feels like their love story was pulled straight from the big screen, only better, because it’s real.
And if this is just the engagement chapter, we can’t wait to see what the wedding brings.
