Wendy is the founder of Wedded Wonderland, one of the world's most followed wedding platforms. A former teacher, she started it after noticing how rarely cultural weddings were represented in Australian wedding media, and built it into a global community of couples, planners, venues and designers.
Today she is also an in-demand speaker, having presented at more than 150 conferences across 13 countries, and she appeared on the ABC's Q+A. You can read more on her website.
Online inspiration only goes so far. Couples want to see the dress up close, ask the designer a question, and know what something really costs. Wedded World puts them in the same room as the people behind the ideas.
In Wendy's words: "This is the future of Wedded Wonderland: connecting inspiration to action and helping couples move from dreaming to booking."
The idea is already working. The Wedded World runway at Crown Sydney in June 2026 featured 70 looks from 16 brands in front of more than 350 couples, influencers and media. In September, The Wedded Salon brought more than 50 newly engaged brides together with 13 wedding experts for an evening of honest questions and answers.
This November, Wedded World comes to Melbourne, on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November 2026 at 1 Hotel Melbourne in Docklands. Instead of rows of stalls, it is built around The Wedded Salon Experience: four intimate 2.5-hour sessions, each bringing fashion, beauty, wellness and travel into one room.
Inside, you can watch couture runway moments from designers including Steven Khalil, Vera Wang and BERTA, try hair, skin and wellness experiences before you book them, and sit down for travel and honeymoon consultations. Every session includes time with Wedded Concierge, gifting, tastings and event-only offers you won't find anywhere else.

Places in each Salon are limited and Early Bird tickets are on sale now, so choose your session early.
You do not have to finish planning your wedding in one visit. Choose two or three decisions you want to move forward, whether that is your dress, your planner or where to honeymoon, and write down what you already know.
"We like destination weddings" becomes far more useful when paired with your guest numbers, preferred season and the kind of celebration you imagine. Take notes on the names you want to remember, and if an offer interests you, ask for its conditions in writing so you can compare it later.
