WEDDING INTERRUPTED BY WOMAN WHO CLAIMS THE GROOM’S ALREADY MARRIED

The phrase ‘speak now or forever hold your peace’ was the start of some serious wedding drama at an East African wedding last weekend. The veremony had to be stopped when Lydia Achieng arrived at the church claiming to already be the wife of the Groom-to-Be. Lydia, carrying her eight-month old son, said to the guests that the groom, Charles Manoa, was married to her for two years and was the father of her son.

“Even if the wedding proceeds, he remains my husband and the father of my children. He left us about a year ago and I only got wind of the wedding ceremony recently and lodged my complaint with the authorities,” Lydia said.

The situation got so heated that the police were called to whisk Charles away, leaving the bride behind at the altar.

Scandal!
