Wedded Wonderland‘s Editor recently married the love of her life in a luxurious contemporary Wedding, surrounded by the Australian bush-land.
“Neither Mitch, nor I tried to follow any particular trends. Instead, we focused on creating a day that was uniquely ‘us’.”
The outcome was the perfect juxtaposition of a luxurious, yet relaxed Wedding; a combination of fine food and wine, lush styling and stunning views in an opulent venue nestled in the foothills of the Blue Mountains.
However, the Wedding didn’t go by without putting some ‘DIY‘ skills from Heather’s dad as well as the Bride herself.
“My Dad actually crafted our arch using stainless steel after the original arch we’d organised fell through. We ended up with the most spectacular arch and it made it so much more special that he spent hours hand-making it. I used my ‘DIY’ skills to create a Toss Bar that allowed guests to fill up a cardboard cone with petals ready to throw at the new Bride and Groom.”
Reflecting back on her Special Day, Heather recalled the moment she looked into her Groom’s eyes during the ceremony as they were saying their vows as the most grounding, yet elating experience, as well as the last few hours of the night when everyone hit the dance floor and gathered around the outdoor fire to roast marshmallows as they stared at the stars.
