Are those wedding bells we hear? Great news everyone! There’s a chance Jennifer Lawrence is already a married woman. The actress was seen at New York’s marriage bureau on Monday with fiancé Cooke Maroney and top photographer Mark Seliger.
According to Page Six, the couple was accompanied by security guards, and while Lawrence and Maroney are reportedly planning a grand wedding celebration in October, it sounds like this was the day that made it official.
An unnamed witness documented the event on Twitter, posting: “When you go get your marriage license and Jennifer Lawrence walks by to tie the knot before your eyes. Yeah, kids, City Hall is COOL. The place to go!”
Lawrence talked about her decision to marry Maroney on Catt Sadler’s Naked podcast in June, as reported by The Cut, and it all sounds amazingly sweet. “It was just, it was so organic,” she said. “I definitely wasn’t at a place where I was like, ‘I’m ready to get married.’ I just met Cooke and I wanted to marry him. We wanted to marry each other. We wanted to commit fully.”
Well, this just sounds adorable! We certainly can’t wait for the wedding celebrations, Fairies!
