The Adam Treloar wedding took place at The Bower Estate in the Gold Coast hinterland, where the retired Australian Football League (AFL) midfielder married his long-time partner, netball champion Kim Ravaillion, 7NEWS reported on 20 October 2026. Their daughter Georgie appears in the wedding photographs, and Ravaillion summed up the day as "Best day ever."

The date, the guest count and the couple's outfits were not reported. The timing and the venue are known, and both carry over to an estate wedding of your own, which Wedded Concierge can plan around them.
Treloar was in tears as Ravaillion walked down the aisle, and the couple "danced into the night", 7NEWS reports. Brisbane co-captain Josh Dunkley, Treloar's former Western Bulldogs teammate, was a groomsman, and Kahlia Howe and netballer Macy Gardner were in the bridal party.

Treloar, 33, retired at the end of the 2026 season after soft-tissue injuries. Ravaillion won back-to-back Queensland Firebirds premierships in 2015 and 2016, later captained the club and retired in July 2024, ABC News reported. She now works as player development manager in Melbourne's AFLW welfare team.
Two details in reposts are wrong. The legal wedding in Melbourne five weeks earlier belongs to Brad Close and Grace Ballinger, and this wedding was not at a Byron Bay estate. More are in celebrity destination weddings in Australia.
The 2026 AFL Grand Final on Saturday 26 September cleared Treloar's calendar. Ravaillion's stayed full. The AFLW season began the week of 10 August and its Grand Final falls on Friday 27 November.

If your own calendar follows a season, ask each venue whether it will hold more than one date until the fixture is out. Bower shapes its wedding offers around guest numbers and preferred days, so ask what a Friday or a Sunday changes.
The Bower Estate is a 120-acre family property on Nerang Murwillumbah Road at Natural Bridge. The Natural Bridge section of Springbrook National Park is two minutes south, and Gold Coast Airport is about 50 minutes away by road.

Bower names four ceremony sites, Hillview, the Pine Tree Forest, the Verandah and the Fig Tree, and lets you choose another spot. Afterwards guests move to the open-air Fig Tree for drinks and canapés as the sun sets over Springbrook, a reception area that is yours alone.

Dinner sits in a clear marquee roofed with fairy lights. It takes up to 120 guests with a dance floor or 150 without, though the weddings page gives 140, so confirm your number in writing. Bower Cottage sleeps up to 10 across three bedrooms.
Day hire runs from 9am to 10pm, and all guests leave after 10pm, the wedding FAQs state. Music is capped at 84 decibels, measured three metres from the marquee speakers, with no percussion.

Food and drink come from pre-approved vendors, and alcohol service needs RSA-licensed staff. Bower recommends a return bus from a Gold Coast pick-up, often The Star or RACV Royal Pines, and advises against taxis and Ubers. There are 40 car spaces.
Beyond the cottage, guests stay on the coast about 45 minutes away and ride the coach both ways. The Darling at The Star has 56 suites in Broadbeach. Whether the rest of the estate is yours as well as the Fig Tree isn't stated, so ask in writing.

Prices aren't published. Bower offers Micro and Full Wedding options. You complete a planning form, Bower replies with an estimate, and then you book a tour. The home page carries a banner for expression of interest holds on 2028 dates, so enquire as soon as your calendar is clear.
Bower publishes its own weather figures. October has a mean maximum of 26 degrees (about 79°F) and seven rain days.

Above 30 degrees a water table is compulsory, and above 35 the ceremony must move to the Fig Tree. Hillview faces west and sits in full sun for most of the afternoon, so Bower suggests a 3.30pm start as the cooler choice. A wet ceremony moves to the Bower Cottage verandah, which holds up to 100 standing guests.
Put these seven questions to every estate you consider, including those among 100 Australian wedding venues:
Exclusive use: Does another event share the grounds, car park or access road?
Real capacity: Count seated guests with a dance floor.
Finish time and noise: An early close or a decibel cap decides whether a band can play.
Catering and bar rules: Ask for the approved caterer list and BYO terms in writing.
Guest transport: Book the coach home too, and say on the invitation that it is covered.
Heat, rain and wind plans: Ask for each in writing, with the condition that sets it off.
A visit at your ceremony hour: Afternoon light looks nothing like a morning tour.

Bower calls the estate predominantly an outdoor venue and recommends a hat and sunglasses at the ceremony, a jacket as the evening cools, and flat shoes or heel stoppers for its grass and gravel paths.

Garden formal suits a 3.30pm ceremony better than black tie. Black tie traditionally means changing for dinner, as Debrett's notes, and here the vows are said in full afternoon sun. Garden formal means a long or midi dress, or a light suit and tie. If the invitation gives no code, ask the hosts.
If the invitation does say black tie, take structure from the cut, not the weight of the cloth. A column in silk crepe holds its line in warm air, where layered tulle traps heat. Debrett's also accepts a fitted cocktail dress just below the knee or palazzo-cut evening trousers at black tie.

Add a structured crepe jacket or a cape fastened at the neck, which the wind on the ridge cannot lift. Under a floor-length hem, a block heel or a dressy flat handles the gravel.
For garden formal, wear a half-lined suit in tropical wool or a wool and linen mix, with a tie. Skip the waistcoat, a third layer in the sun. Keep the jacket on through the vows and the speeches, and take it off only once the hosts have.

At black tie, Debrett's lists a black hand-tied bow tie, a white evening shirt with a turn-down collar and black polished or patent lace-ups. For heat, the Gieves and Hawkes Shelford dinner jacket is 70 per cent wool and 30 per cent mohair.
Neither of you needs to live in Australia, or in Queensland, to marry there, but an authorised celebrant must marry you for the wedding to be legal. A friend can give a reading or a speech while the celebrant takes the legal vows.
Lodge your Notice of Intended Marriage with your celebrant at least one month and no more than 18 months ahead, and the celebrant registers the marriage afterwards, the Queensland Government confirms. Commonwealth-registered celebrants are regulated nationally, so the only question for your Sydney or Melbourne celebrant is whether they travel north.

Jetstar, Qantas and Virgin Australia fly Sydney to Gold Coast Airport many times a day. Queensland keeps standard time while Sydney and Melbourne move to daylight saving in October, so the Gold Coast runs an hour behind. The Wedded Marketplace lists planners and photographers who travel to the Gold Coast.
A Notice signed abroad must be witnessed by an Australian consular officer or a notary public, Celebrants Australia explains, and the Australian Embassy in Abu Dhabi witnesses signatures. Few official pages set out how to attest an Australian marriage certificate for use in the UAE, so ask the UAE Embassy in Canberra in writing.

Emirates flies Dubai to Brisbane 14 times a week, in about 13 hours 50 minutes. Emirati, Indian, Pakistani, Lebanese and Filipino passports are not on the ETA list, so those guests apply early for a Visitor visa (subclass 600), from AUD250. Hold the drum-led zaffe at a henna night in a coast hotel, since Bower allows no percussion, and ask caterers for halal certification in writing.
Your Notice can be witnessed by a UK notary public or an Australian consular officer in London. Overseas couples send the celebrant ID and proof of how any earlier marriage ended with the Notice, at least a month ahead, Celebrants Australia notes.

A marriage abroad is recognised in the UK if it was lawful where it took place. Emirates flies Heathrow to Brisbane via Dubai in about 22 to 29 hours. UK clocks go back on 25 October 2026, putting Queensland ten hours ahead, so give guests two or three days on the coast first.
Your Notice can be signed before a US notary public or at the Australian Consulate-General in New York, by online appointment with photo ID. US guests apply for an ETA in the Australian ETA app, with an AUD20 service fee.

Qantas flies Los Angeles to Brisbane non-stop daily and United flies San Francisco to Brisbane daily, each in about 14 hours, so guests from JFK or Newark connect on the West Coast. Brisbane is 14 hours ahead of New York while US daylight saving runs, and 15 hours ahead for the rest of the year. Allow three nights before the wedding. Schedules change, so confirm when you book.
Wedded Concierge plans and books the celebration for you end to end, starting with the dates you can't move. Your Wedded Advisor puts the seven questions above to the estates you are considering and introduces planners and photographers who travel to the Gold Coast through the Wedded Marketplace. Once the date is set, Wedded Concierge looks after guest travel and accommodation on the coast, including the coach to the estate and back.
