Jesse Wellens and Jeana Smith started their YouTube channel BFvsGF seven years ago and have since built up a subscriber base of almost nine million.
The pair have posted regularly, focusing on funny pranks, challenges and loads of details of their relationship and their ‘couple vlogging’ videos are popular with fans all around the world. However, after being together for almost seven years, Jesse and Jeana announced they were splitting in an emotional video posted on their channel.
In the video, which they titled ‘A New Chapter’, the couple are seen holding back tears as they try to explain the rationale behind their decision.

Jesse says that he is planning to move from his Philadelphia home to New York, while Jeana is staying in Pennsylvania.
He explains, “Long story short, Jeana and I, this is like telling a bunch of kids that their parents are getting divorced basically, but Jeana and I are going to take a break from vlogging, we’re going to take a break from each other. It sucks and I know a lot of you guys are going to be mad at us, but at this point I don’t care, I just need to be sane… I’d rather make bigger production stuff that isn’t so much about my personal life. It’s not healthy.”
