This Is How A Fashion Girl Gets Married

If you wanna get married, you’ve got to tie the knot it in style of course!

And that is what Senior Textile Technologist at Victoria’s Secret and Founder, CEO of Sincerely Emily Brooke did when she tied the knot with her Prince Charming Layne.

The two first met in middle school however reconnected over Facebook many years later. After dating for 5 years, the couple got engaged in Cape Town, South Africa on their holiday. Layne popped the question when the two reached the top of The Cape Ferris Wheel and of course Brooke’s answer was yes!

The couple went for a luxurious, personalised and unique theme for their wedding, incorporating lush greenery with metallic and blush accents.

The couple’s wedding wasn’t just a one day celebration, but the couple celebrated their union over an entire weekend. Their festivities included a ‘BFF Rehearsal Brunch’ at The Edition Hotel, ‘A Toast To Love’ Welcome Party at Mammoth Gardens at Faena Miami Beach as well as their official wedding ceremony and reception at The Temple House.

Among the festivities, the couple incorporated unconventional and unique aspects to their wedding. The Welcome Party featured a Live Table, a woman wearing a dress with full glasses of champagne as well as a caricature artist. At the ceremony, Brooke honoured her late mother in a very personal and symbolic way. Brooke reserved a seat for her mother with her photograph as well as releasing butterflies at the ceremony to represent her.

The wedding also incorporated symbolic and personalised touches including a broom Brooke’s aunty created for the couple. The custom dance floor featured the couple’s favourite moments printed on it, making it a memorable element to the wedding.

The bride’s fashion background certainly played a role in the wedding as she personally styled each of her bridesmaids in a custom outfit featuring different designers including alice + olivia, Badgley Mischka, Jenny Yoo, Misha Collection, Schutz and more.

The wedding also featured confetti blast, cotton candy served on glow sticks and a live painter on site, ensuring all guests were entertained.
