Maddison and Tim found each other amid the dusty allure of a mining site, whilst at work. Maddison, an excavator operator and Tim, serving as a production supervisor, discovered a connection in the unique environment of their workplace. Fast forward to December 5, 2021, and their journey reached a crescendo as they tied the knot at the enchanting Tiller Farm, surrounded by sprawling paddocks and the serene beauty of Yallingup.
The genesis of Maddison and Tim’s love story began amidst the rugged charm of the Kalgoorlie airport, each noticing the other at different times. Tim, ever the romantic, insists it was love at first sight at the airport baggage claim. Maddison, on the other hand, felt the spark a few days into their on-site swing. Despite Maddison moving to another site, the two stayed connected, nurturing their budding romance during RnR dates.
It was in 2018 that Tim proposed, choosing their newly built home as the intimate setting. However, it was later revealed that Tim had attempted to pop the question on Meelup Beach in Dunsborough, carrying the ring box around all day. Maddison, blissfully unaware, remained oblivious to the hindered proposal, but destiny had other plans for the couple. The idyllic Tiller Farm, with its blank canvas and stunning views, emerged as the perfect venue for their nuptials.
Tiller Farm in Yallingup perfectly encapsulated Tim and Maddison’s ideal wedding venue. The serene beauty of expansive paddocks and majestic trees fulfilled their dream of a picturesque setting. Opting for the main lawn ceremony allowed them to exchange vows against the breathtaking backdrop. Tiller’s versatility as a blank canvas granted them creative freedom for an authentic reception. The commitment to paddock-to-plate by George and his team added a meaningful touch to the celebration. With its relaxed vibes and Tim’s farm background, Tiller Farm became the ideal canvas for their love story, blending nature’s beauty, culinary excellence, and rustic charm.
For Maddison, the decision to go for classic monochrome styling was about creating a timeless ambiance. The beauty of Tiller Farm, with its high ceilings and white walls, spoke for itself, and Maddison didn’t want anything overpowering. The result was a breathtaking ceremony on the main lawn, surrounded by the picturesque landscapes that perfectly encapsulated their love.
Maddison’s gown, a masterpiece from Milanese designer Dovita, was a vision of elegance and uniqueness. The layers of tulle and lace, along with the surprise reveal of a different look during the reception, added to the magic of the day. The bridesmaids, outfitted in custom-made dresses from Nina at One Fell Swoop, seamlessly complemented Maddison’s vision.
When asked about their favorite moment, Maddison and Tim unanimously expressed the joy of having all their loved ones in one place. The challenges of a FIFO lifestyle made it rare for them to gather everyone together, making their wedding day a truly magical reunion. The satisfaction of seeing two years of meticulous planning culminate in a flawless celebration was the icing on the wedding cake.
Post-wedding, the couple enjoyed a “mini-moon” on Rottnest Island. The choice of Rottnest Island for their getaway was a testament to their desire for a tranquil escape. The couple explored beaches, indulged in couples massages, and savored the bliss of lounging by the pool at the Samphire Resort. As they look forward to their European honeymoon next year, Maddison and Tim continue to savor the memories of their dreamy wedding and intimate Rottnest retreat.
