Lucy’s wedding had been postponed three times along with her and James’ honeymoon due to Melbourne lockdowns. She has always had this idea of cutting her hair mid-way through the wedding to surprise my her now husband. James really loves her hair short, and since they were honeymooning straight after the wedding, Lucy thought why not make it easier for herself to style in the hot weather?
She loves the new look and has been planning it with her hairdresser Brooke Murray for 2 years. They’ve kept the surprise for that long! She’s the only hairdresser Lucy trusts with her hair. The cut took 25 min, and it was during entrees she had all her bridesmaids in the room helping her. Photographer Merve Togan and videographer Frank from Lightbox media captured every moment.
From the 200 guests that attended, nobody knew about the surprise cut! So when Lucy walked out there was some people who were confused and others who were screaming and cheering. It was an amazing feeling for Lucy! Like she was starting this marriage with a bang!
