UPDATE: Bonnie Sveen has just confirmed that she is leaving Home & Away for good, so the dream Wedding between her character, Ricky Sharpe and Dr Nate Cooper may not even go ahead! Fans are obviously devastated, but the question remains on just how Ricky will depart from Summer Bay – will she go on the run with convicted criminal, Brax, will she move away, or is there going to be another death…
APRIL 11: It’s set to be the soap opera Wedding of the year, Home & Aways’ Ricky Sharpe (played by Bonnie Sveen) is Marrying Dr Nate Cooper (Kyle Pryor) next week on the show.
However, fans are not happy with Ricky choosing to Marry sweetheart, Nate instead of her former flame, bad boy Brax (who was played by Stephen Peacocke until his departure from the show).
The show’s writers originally planned to have Ricky’s character written off when Brax became an ex-con and went on the run with her, but they changed their minds because she was such a strong and popular heroine.
In the previews of the episode, Ricky is seen having second thoughts about the Marriage, with Brax’s ghost appearing to haunt her.
