The pre-wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and partner, Radhika Merchant, are making headlines across the internet, and rightly so! The renowned Ambani family do not shy away from a lavish celebration.

For those who are not familiar with the family, Anant Ambani is the youngest son of Mukesh Ambani, the richest person in India and among the top 10 of billionaires in the world. Mukesh Ambani is the owner and chairman of the company, Reliance Industries.

The Ambani pre-wedding celebrations, part of the grand Ambani wedding about to take place on July 12, 2024, took place over three days in the Ambani’s hometown of Jamnagar, India.

Bride to be, Radhika said the choice of location was a way to “honor our roots and the family’s legacy.”

Before the pre-wedding celebrations began, the Ambani family hosted a communal food service for 51,000 people in surrounding villages – a known tradition each time the Ambanis hold a family celebration.

The guest list comprised of more than 1,200 guests, bringing together international A-list celebrities, politicians, sports stars, and Bollywood’s finest names, to celebrate the couple as part of the Anant Ambani wedding festivities.

Guests were reportedly provided with a 9-page dress code as well as access to special wardrobe attire, hair, and make-up stylists to complete their themed looks for each day.

Here is a rundown on all the fun at the Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding!

Day 1 – The pre-wedding event was hosted in a constructed glass palace adorned in grand flower installations by our wedded favorite and floral extraordinaire, Jeff Leatham.

After the welcome dinner, guests were treated to a drone show in the sky, comprising more than 5,500 drones – the largest drone show ever done in India.

Just when the event could not be more exciting, for the first time in eight years, global superstar, Rihanna took to the stage to perform. Guests danced the night away and enjoyed a firework show during Rihanna’s performance as part of the Anant Ambani pre-wedding celebrations.

Day 2 – The second day of festivities was themed, “A Walk on the Wildside,” where guests toured the Ambani’s animal rescue center and were asked to wear “Jungle fever” attire of course! The day concluded with a “Mela Rouge,” themed evening, a creative play on Moulin Rouge.

Day 3 – The final day was themed, “Tusker Trails” and allowed guests to interact with elephants, reptiles, and tigers present at the animal rehabilitation center.

A traditional “hastakshar” also took place, which translates to a signing ceremony that formally recognizes the union of Anant and Radhika. Following the ceremony, a “Maha Aarti” (musical ritual) was performed at the newly built temple complex and featured performances by mother of the groom, Nita Ambani, as well as notable Bollywood entertainers in true Ambani style.

In true Ambani fashion, the event did not end there. Guests had dinner “under the stars” and enjoyed a performance by singer, Akon, to mark a close to the opulent three-day event as part of the Ambani pre-wedding celebrations.

The celebrations are not over for the Ambani family, with the couple’s wedding nuptials expected to take place on July 12, this year. If the pre-wedding itinerary is any insight into the wedding, we can’t wait to see what wedded magic is being planned for the Anant Ambani wedding!
