Global Wedding Planners Showcase Their Best Table Designs for Türkiye’s 100th Anniversary

Nine renowned event and wedding planners will be bringing their best design skills to the Table Design Exhibition — Celebrate Art & Creativity, which will be held at the Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus Hotel in Istanbul, Türkiye between October 31 and November 2, 2023.

The Table Design Exhibition is the first of its kind. The showcase was created to spotlight the tablescaping skills of the world’s finest event designers.

The Theme: Türkiye’s 100th Anniversary

This is the 2nd edition of the exhibition, and overlaps with Türkiye’s 100th anniversary on October 29. In honor of this momentous milestone, the designers will be putting together Türkiye-themed table designs that entwine the country’s rich aesthetics and culture with each of their distinct signature styles.

As one of the most crucial aspects of event design, tablescaping is an art that engages tasteful and innovative floral arrangements, crockery, candles, textiles, and more to create an immersive experience for dinner parties and the like. A spectacular tablescape is vital for weddings, as the dining setup can make or break the wedding theme, and completely transform a venue.

That said, couples should prepare to feast their eyes on the upcoming exhibition—inspiration will surely abound!

The above list is a stellar lineup—many of the exhibitors have been event stylists for the stars. David Beahm was the wedding event designer of Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas in 2000. Meanwhile, Tony Breiss was the brain behind the wedding design of Tiffany Trump, the daughter of former US President Donald Trump.

Actor and multi-hyphenate Frieha Altaf of Pakistan, Majeda Kassir Bisharat of the Middle East, and Dutch designer Hella Huizinga also comprise the lineup. Joining them are Germany’s Mr. Froonck, Percy Sales, Sumant Jayakrishnan from India, and Brian Worley, who worked on event design for the Teen Choice Awards and the Grammy Awards.

Program and Tickets

The three-day event will also host panels, workshops, networking sessions, themed parties, tours around Istanbul, and gastronomic experiences.

On October 31st, the exhibitors, sponsors, VIP guests, and other celebrity designers will come together for a black-tie opening ceremony. The exhibition will be open for viewing between 9:30 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. on November 1 to November 2, Wednesday and Thursday. Panel discussions, tours, and other activities will also take place on these dates.

A Gala Dinner will be held at the Peninsula Hotel on November 1, while a Farewell Party will take place on November 2 at the Sarnıç Restaurant, a fine dining spot which is located inside of a 1,500-year-old cistern.

Guests can avail of three ticket packages:

Silver Package: This package includes a slot for the Opening Ceremony on 31st of October with VIP guests and celebrity designers, access to the exhibition area, panels and special Istanbul tours on 1st & 2nd November. Tichet holders will also attend the Gala Night on 1st of November.
Bronze Package: This package includes attending the Opening Ceremony on the 31st of October with VIP guests and celebrity designers and access to the exhibition area, panels, and Istanbul tour on either the 1st of November.
Platinum Package: This includes a pass to the Opening Ceremony on 31st of October with VIP guests and celebrity designers, access to the exhibition area, panels, and special Istanbul tours on 1st & 2nd of November. Ticket holders will also attend the Gala Night and Farewell party.
Workshop Ticket: This package grants access to the ticket holder’s chosen workshop, access to the exhibition area, and panel discussions on the day of the workshop.
Competition Ticket: This ticket allows guests to join the Table Design Exhibition. Send over detailed photos and videos of your table design, which will be judged by the nine main exhibitors. The winner gets to set up their very own table design during the exhibition in the exhibition area!
