Two years since television personalities Sylvia Jefferys and Peter Stefanovic tied the knot, the two have confirmed they will soon welcome their first baby to the world. And it’s a little boy!
The couple met while working together at Channel Nine, hosting Weekend Today over the summer holiday period and have been keen to start a family since they got married.
The proud parents-to-be have shared their news on Instagram with Sylvia explaining how she is over the moon to be pregnant with a little boy!
Peter also shared the exciting news on his Instagram, writing in the caption “Soon to be a family of three and we are rapt! Good thing I’m already match fit with the whole no sleep thing.”
The couple have been so overwhelmed with all the love and support they have received from other celebrities and co workers.
“About as over the moon as we all are!! What a lucky lucky bub he is. Huge congrats to two of the best. Now the fun really begins!!” former Today host Lisa Wilkinson wrote to the couple.
“Way to go Pete!! So happy for you and Sylv — best news,” Today host Deborah Knight also commented on the post.
“BOYS ARE THE BEST!!!!!!! Yay you two. You’ll be brilliant parents,” Studio 10’s Sarah Harris wrote.
Sylvia and Peter are one of Australia’s TV golden couples and this is the couple’s first child.
