Weddings bells are ringing for Selena Gomez and beau Benny Blanco, who broke the internet with news of their engagement!
On December 11, Selena uploaded photos of herself wearing a glittering diamond ring. The joy in her smile is beyond contagious!
“Forever begins now,” captioned the singer, actress, and makeup mogul.
The pair seem to have gotten engaged on a set. Selena posted a photo of herself on a picnic blanket strewn with baskets and snacks from Taco Bell, which she famously loves. She also shared a clip on Instagram stories showing that the park setting was actually located on a sound stage. We can’t wait to find out how Benny proposed—we’re sure it was as cozy and personal as the pair’s friendship-turned-romance!
The 32-year-old star’s ring is a brilliant marquise diamond set with a pavé yellow gold band. The regal piece glints with hints of warmth, with the yellow gold lending it more color than a white gold band. According to reports, this fine item may be worth up to a whopping 1 million USD!
Other big names from Hollywood flooded to Selena Gomez’s comment section to send in their congratulations on this new chapter in her life. Benny himself kicked it off with the sweetest comment, writing, “hey wait…that’s my wife.”
Taylor Swift, who is a longtime friend of Selena’s, wrote “yes I will be the flower girl.”
Jennifer Aniston, Nina Dobrev, Lily Collins, Gwyneth Paltrow, Suki Waterhouse, and even Gordon Ramsey joined in!
Selena Gomez and record producer and songwriter Benny Blanco reportedly began their relationship in the middle of 2023, with Selena announcing in December of the same year that hey had been dating privately for six months. She and Benny had run in the same circles since 2009 or 2010, and had collaborated in 2015 on several songs from her album Revival.
Congratulations to the happy couple!
