Believe it or not, according to this study, the thing that will determine whether you and your boo will last isn’t to do with compatibility, culture, good looks or charm!
Stanford sociologist, Michael Rosenfeld studied more than 4,000 people who were looking for love or already in a relationship to find out what the defining factor was that would keep them together. The results are surprising.
It turns out that time is the key. The longer you’re together, the more likely you are to stay together. If you can stick it out together for just one year, it looks like you are more likely to have a Happily Ever After.
With only 40% of couples who’ve been together less than two months remaining together by the end of the study, it looks like the biggest hump is the three-month mark.
So, if you’ve been with your other half for longer than three-months, science is on your side, so why not get hitched!?
