CAROLINE AND JAKE’S DREAMY WEDDING

Caroline and Jake were on a romantic holiday in Indonesia, enjoying a five-course dinnner on a secluded beach with their very own private waiter, when he decided to pop the question!

“I was pretty suspicious upon seeing the set-up – there were rose petal hearts and lanterns everywhere, and Jake kept calling the waiter over every time the wind blew out one of the candles, trying so adorably hard to make sure everything was perfect.

“By the time we had finished dessert and the proposal still hadn’t come, I was starting to wonder whether I had it all wrong. Then he suggested we take a walk along the beach and after a few steps, dropped down on one knee. The rest is history!” Caroline told Wedded Wonderland.

Fast-forward to their super glamorous wedding at Terrara House which the couple described as  “intimate, full of love, fun and laughter and peppered with our own personal touches.”

Their special day began with a  ceremony held in the sprawling, manicured gardens under a traditional chuppah beautifully adorned in peonies and roses. Their ceremony was sprinkled with traditional Jewish elements in a nod to Caroline’s background and Jake’s father’s side of the family.

This was followed by a stunning  reception held in a marquee on the property, described as a “sit-down country feast”, with courses served as shared platters and flowing drinks.

Reflecting back on their special day, the couple told Wedded Wonderland one of the most unique parts of their wedding was including their beloved dog, Alfie, in their wedding.

“We rescued him from a shelter just after getting engaged so he became a bit of a mascot for the whole wedding journey. He starred on our invites, donned a tuxedo and walked down the aisle as co-ring bearer and we even had his face printed on the gift bags we gave guests at the end of the night!”

If Caroline could change on thing about her special day, it would be to practise walking down the aisle! “I almost lost my footing twice, first stepping down the cobblestone steps and then onto the white carpet aisle, which was much softer than I expected.”

All in all, the couple’s special day was filled with many incredible moments.

Be inspired, Faires!
