James and Renata met through mutual friends about 9 years ago, when Renata was just 19. After they shared their first kiss, Renata knew she had to make James her boyfriend, so the next day she asked James to be hers!
“Little did I know we would both fall in love hard and 8 years on, nothing would changed. We went through growing pains like every relationship but we always came out strong. I look at him today and I could not be more in love. This man supports me with everything I do, he loves me for who I am (even my crazy European personality) and cherishes me as if I only exist for him.”
Describing the moment James proposed, Renata told Wedded Wonderland, “I came home, opened the door and he was standing there holding our cat Simba. He said “We have a surprise for you” and I looked around and he scattered roses and rose petals everywhere around our house with tea light candles! Then I saw the table in our living room with a box open with my ring siting there. I was in shock! He grabbed me and walked me to the living room he got down on one knee and said “People wait a lifetime for the one they love and im so lucky I found you, will you marry me?” I said yes!!!!”
Fast forward to their wedding day, which was filled with fun and love! Renata is Macedonian and James is English so their special day consisted of a great mix of culture and traditions.
Renata’s favourite moment from her special day was walking down the aisle towards her man.”When I arrived down the aisle and James whispered to me “You look absolutely amazing.” During our ceremony he kept asking our priest when he could kiss me as we had a lot of traditions to get through, it was amazing!”
