Jonathan proposed to Melanie as they were enjoying a holiday on Hamilton Island, at the dreamy Qualia Resort. After a day fill with many surprises, including a helicopter ride over the Whitsunday Islands, followed by a picnic on the beach, champagne and oyster tasting and a sunset dinner, Melanie was ready to change into her pyjamas and hop into bed. However, Jonathan had other plans!
Arriving back at their hotel room, Jonathan had adorned the room in flower petals and romantic candles. At that moment, he took out the ring from the box and dropped down to one knee … and that’s when Melanie realised what was going on!
Fast forward to the beautiful wedding day, where the theme was a “Romantic Fairytale”, the couple held their wedding ceremony at Carousel, located right on the Albert Park lake with stunning views of the city. And the wedding reception looked like a party we all wanted to be at! Melanie told Wedded Wonderland, “It was a night filled with laughter, tears and many unforgettable memories.”
The most memorable and happiest moments of the couple’s day was when they were pronounced as husband and wife and then later their first dance together as husband and wife.
