We love a destination wedding and this beautifully stylish outdoor wedding in Bali ticks all the right boxes. The exquisite natural surroundings and gorgeously happy couple make this wedding the epitome of romance, with a very lush yet rustic feel.
Bride Elisa and groom Michael’s story began on the eve of Christmas day, when Elisa came home from a last minute shopping trip to a house full of candles. The candles created a pathway to the bedroom, where to Elisa’s astonishment, Michael was kneeling in a suit and tie readily waiting to propose. How divine!
Two years later this beautiful couple held their spectacular destination wedding surrounded by their loved ones. “It was a magical overseas setting on a balmy Bali night with our closest and dearest family and friends”, describes Elisa. The wedding had a very sophisticated yet relaxed feel. Their ceremony was held in a glass pavilion allowing the natural settings to be showcased and filling the space with natural ambience. The space had minimal yet tasteful styling – all white chairs, and a scattering of candles with small green garlands, again allowing the natural beauty of the resort to shine through.
The reception was equally as tasteful, styled with richly coloured flowers, lush greenery, marble place cards and festoon lighting. The setting was intensified by the incredible Sanur sunset, and complimented with acoustic singer Lydia Rose and her guitarist setting the mood. The space was filled with love and laughter with the most amusing part “the Greek dancing and taking shots of scotch on the – the Balinese locals and staff were in awe” explains Elisa.
