Aleen and Minas were simply meant to be, having known each other since they were toddlers and then attending the same school all the way through to year 12!
Minas wanted his proposal to come as a complete surprise to Aleen, and he knew he had to catch her completely off guard in order to surprise her; so he decided to propose at a local sushi restaurant in the middle of their local shopping centre during a casual Friday night dinner. Now that’s one way to ensure your proposal comes as a complete surprise!
Aleen and Minas wanted their wedding to be a relaxed, carefree night and it turned out to be better than they could’ve imagined!
Reflecting back on their wedding, Aleen’s favourite moment of the night was the speeches. “Minas is quite reserved and his speech was so incredibly heartfelt and beautiful. I also surprised him (and everyone else) and said a speech . I really wanted to ensure the wedding was not just about the bride and wanted to speak about the incredible man Minas was also.”
When asked if there was one thing she could change about her special day, Aleen responded, “I actually do not think I would change anything. Planning a wedding can be extremely stressful, although I always tried to ensure I did not become caught up in the moment and tried to remember the wedding is one day, our marriage was a lifetime.” We completely agree!
