Marisa and Nick married in a traditional big fat Greek wedding with a twist!
The ceremony took place at St Nektarios Orthodox Church where the traditional elegance of the church shined through as decorations were kept to a minimum. Keeping with a white floral theme, Marisa described her Wedding as an elegant and sophisticated spin on the traditional big fat Greek wedding.
Describing the moment Marisa first saw her dress designer by Alin Le Kal, she told Wedded Wonderland she couldn’t help but cry. “I honestly felt like a real life princess as I walked down the aisle adorned in hundreds of silk and crystal flowers with my endless train trailing behind me.” A true vision!
The reception was held at the Brighton International, which was adorned in sophisticated black and white décor, simple floral centerpieces and an infusion of traditions. Greek traditions were celebrated throughout the day and night, including a tradition that allows guests to pin money on the Bride and Groom during a dance. The beautiful tradition symbolises a life of wealth and prosperity in every aspect of life.
Following the advice of her sister-in-law Penelope, Marisa and Nick took a moment at the bridal table to enjoy the moment, together realising that their wedding was one full of love, laughter and truly wonderful people they both cherished.
