This three-day wedding extravaganza from 2017 was hosted at the Waldorf Astoria in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.
The celebration was grand, filled with traditional Indian Rituals and creative themes in luxe settings. The blend of traditions with innovative themes added a unique and personalized touch to the wedding celebrations.

Keri and Kapil started out their multiday cultural wedding celebration with a stunning welcome lunch on the beachfront of the Waldorf Astoria in Ras Al Khaimah.
Sharing a meal on the ‘Sands of Arabia’ with beautiful views and surrounded by loved ones seems like a magical way to kick off a wedding weekend.
Drawing inspiration from traditional Arabian markets, guests were welcomed with spices and traditional Arabic food flooding the senses. The welcome lunch also featured Sheesha Majlis, beverage hawkers, and interactive belly dance sessions, setting an authentic tone for the celebrations to follow and engaging guests in an immersive experience.
Event number two for Keri and Kapil’s big fat Indian Wedding was their ‘Royal Indian’ themed Sangeet.
The Waldorf Astoria Ballroom was transformed into a Maharaja’s palace using advanced mapping and projection technology, featuring larger-than-life murals, rare ornaments, and sculptural elephants.
The evening was filled with music, dancing, and celebration, with performances from Bollywood artists flown in specially for this occasion.
The Sangeet was a beautiful way to celebrate this momentous and life-changing event, cementing their love for eternity.
Inspired by a ‘Palace Gardens’ theme, Keri and Kapil got wedded under a stunning white and pink floral mandap on the stunning beachfront of the Waldorf Astoria in Ras Al Khaimah.
The groom entered in a procession for a king, entering on a gilded horseback, wearing a red, pink, and gold ceremonial outfit and surrounded by loved ones.
Entering through an elongated aisle with floral arches scattered along the way, with the stunning exterior of the Waldorf Astoria in the background, the perfect photo-ready setup for capturing stunning organic moments.
The regal vibe continued from their sangeet to the ceremony, with gold-embellished seating under the glorious circular mandap. The Arabian Sea was the most serene backdrop for this lovely couple to tie themselves to each other in marriage.
Keri wore a beautiful red lehenga with golden details, paired with heavy gold bridal jewelry and traditional henna.
As the Hindu Phera ceremony concluded and the couple completed their last circle of the Agni, fireworks began to fill the sky behind them. This majestic display reflected over the Arabian Sea, creating beautiful visuals for the couple and guests to enjoy. The fireworks perfectly emulated the emotions of the couple as they were now officially married!
The final event of Keri and Kapil’s big fat Indian Wedding extravaganza was their reception, held in the Waldorf Astoria ballroom.
Keri and Kapil chose a ‘Whimsical Winter’ theme for this event, with transparent tables and chairs emulating ice and crisp, clean white linens draped from the ceiling imitating icicles.
Tablescape was kept simplistic with transparent chargers and glassware sticky to theme. Centerpieces featured sprawling twig light branches seemingly covered in snow, reaching up to the ceiling. With baby’s breath, lit candles, and other flowers bordering and filling the base of the centerpiece. Tea light candles dripping off the tree light centerpieces, expended in glass ornaments with transparent chains shimmering like diamonds above, holding the masterpiece together.
The reception also featured entertainment and innovation in the form of a human drink table!
Decked out in stunning feathers, a sculptural headdress, and endless diamonds, a performance artist delivered champagne flutes on her glass table skirt!
Interactive elements like these keep guests marvelling for decades!
Overall, this multiday big fat Indian wedding celebration was an incredibly luxe and personalized event that we still can’t get over!
