When asked how the lovely couple met, Anam shared quite an insight to the more traditional relationship network that worked for her.
“Long before the advent of Tinder and E Harmony, our South Asian Culture had its own expansive network for relationships. This network was called our mothers. This is truly where our story begins.”
However, as Anam was studying medicine in San Antonio, and Samir and his family lived in Dallas their conflicting schedules naturally led to the pair not having as much time for each other as they hoped. A year later however, fate intervened as Samir received a fellowship invitation to San Antonio and the timing was seemingly perfect as their relationship hit off!
On their Big Day, the gardens of the Alhambra palace, Spain, was the driving inspiration for this South Asian Wedding. A combination of floral arches, soft candles, chandeliers and water fountains worked together to blend the cultures beautifully.
The most memorable moment of the night came five minutes prior to midnight (and the New Year!). Anam and Samir took center stage as they performed their first waltz. Once the clock struck 12, confetti canons exploded through the crowd, encouraging family and friends to join the couple, as they danced into the New Year!
