Real Wedding: A Modern Day Persian Wedding in California

Areazue and Max met in the most unlikely of places, Vegas! Areazue and Max met at an after-party one night, and while the bright lights, loud music, people dancing and partying surrounded them, Areazue and Max spent the night captivated in each other’s company.

The day Max proposed was a wonderful evening packed with laughter and happiness. He had organized for 50 of their closest friends and family (including those who had traveled from various cities such as Chicago), to gather at their very own house. Complete with a DJ, endless amounts of food and banquet tables, it all seemed a little much for a 26^th birthday party. As the night slowly drifted to an end, Max took hold of the microphone to ask the long anticipated question. He lowered to one knee and after 3 years of knowing she was “the one”, he asked her to marry him!

Fast-forward to their wedding day, where the day began with a modern outdoor ceremony, that was made to feel traditional with the use of a Persian spread called a “Sofreh Aghd” that is used for legal and ceremonial marriages. To the surprise of guests, sixty white doves were released when the couple said their “I-dos”.

An on-going theme of gold, ivory, peach and blush tones, carried through the ceremony to the reception, where a custom logo (which was also used on their invitations) was spaced onto the dance floor. Guests danced well past midnight, celebrating the union of Areazue and Max.
