Real Wedding: A Destination Wedding Under the Tuscan Sun

Sharlene and Craig’s love story began in 2004 while both studying in their respective fields. Eight years later, while travelling through Europe, Craig proposed on the Santa Trinita Bridge, Italy. In the midst of a warm summers sunset (Sharlene’s favourite time of the day), Craig romantically proclaimed his never dying love and concluded with an emotion-filled question. He asked if she would one day return to the beautiful city as his wife! Two years later, the pair returned to the magical city for their fairy-tale wedding.

Sharlene and Craig’s inspiration for their wedding was a classic and time-less concept that tied together perfectly with a historic view. The Villa La Vedetta, offered an incomparable sight that overlooked the city of Florence, Italy. Joined by loving family and friends, an incredible outdoor ceremony took place in the gardens, and while under a breath-taking floral arch, Sharlene and Craig concluded the ceremony with their final “I-do’s”.

“From the immaculate gardens where we held the ceremony to the reception on the terrace under the Tuscan sun, we watched the city light up as we ate under the stars,” Sharlene told Wedded Wonderland. We can presume that getting married in one of the world’s most beautiful cities can make designing your reception a little easier! Given the beauty of the views from the terrace, Sharlene achieved a simple, yet enticing look, with golden candle centrepieces and bundles of floral arrangements along a lengthy rectangle table.
