It was love, when this couple brought their family together to a 12th century villa located on the Amalfi coast in Italy – an epitome of romance for this destination wedding.
“We knew our guests would enjoy some of the most beautiful vistas the Amalfi coast has to offer, ancient buildings, cobble stoned streets lined with flowers, elegant formal gardens and piazzas”, says bride Patrice. “We immediately fell in love with the timeless beauty of Villa Cimbrone in Ravello, a 12th century AD villa where nature, history and art intertwines”.
Their wedding was quite the event. Beginning with a welcome cruise to the Isle of Capri for all their guests that Patrice describes as a real “pinch me” moment. Followed by their picturesque ceremony “the views created a romantic ambiance throughout the ceremony”. The guests were then escorted through the gorgeous grounds enjoying some champagne toast and then a aperitif on the terrace during sunset.
The reception was a dreamy occasion styled with a mix of gold and copper details and gorgeous white florals, overlooking one of the most spectacular views Italy has to offer. “We were blown away with Malafronte’s floral team who created a style that merged natural beauty and ethereal elegance”. The vaulted ceilings and the Michelin star cuisine was nothing short of perfection, just what a romantic wedding should be.
Patrice wore a stunning Zuhair Murad lace gown, her hair kept natural in soft curls. “My bridal look was romantic, sophisticated and timeless. I wanted to compliment the natural beauty of Villa Cimbrone and I loved the way I felt in my gown”.
“There was truly something so infinite about it and we felt we took on a little part in Villa Cimbrone’s history.”
