PLASTIC FANTASTIC: THE NEXT BIG THING IN INVITATIONS

Ask any of the Wedded Wonderland team about the next big thing in invitations and we’ll all agree – acrylic is everything. Unlike the usual card or paper invitations, acrylic is hard-wearing, thick, luxurious and versatile, coming in any shape or colour that tickles your fancy.

So, when it came to sending out our own invitations to the Wedded Wonderland #ICE media event, we looked no further than Plastix for our silver mirrored acrylic invite with our logo and information etched into the backing.

If you’re looking for an invitation with a difference, and one that guests can treasure forever, check out some of these gorgeous examples from Plastix and get the 411 from Plastix’s Kristy Sayburn.

WW: What are acrylic invitations and why are they so special?

Kristy: An acrylic invitation is a piece of plastic commonly known as Perspex that is laser cut and etched into a custom shape with custom wording. These are available in a range of colours, but it’s not just about the versatility, it’s a way for the bride to showcase a classy, yet tasteful teaser of her wedding. It’s a modern twist on a classic, but vital part of the wedding day.

WW: What sort of sizes and designs do they come in?

Kristy: We can design any shape or size and the beauty of our service is that it is a custom service. The bride can come to our team at Plastix and we can make her idea a reality that will last a life time.

WW: Do they suit a particular bride or wedding theme?

Kristy: The beauty of acrylic invites is that they are a personal and custom design therefore the possibilities are endless. Our team will work with the tirelessly with the bride and with our extensive range of colour and knowledge we can make her dream invitation a reality.
