Our first encounter with Pippa Middleton was at her older sister Kate’s royal wedding. And while we were all excited about Kate, we were utterly obsessed with Pippa in her gorgeous figure hugging Alexander McQueen dress. Now that Pippa is getting married this weekend, we are super excited to hear all the details and we can’t wait to see her on her big day. Here’s what we know.
The wedding ceremony will take place in the family’s village church of St Mark’s in Englefield, Berkshire. The reception will be an intimate affair, held in the Middleton’s back garden. The reception is to be held in a giant glass marquee worth $170,000 AUD, read more about it here.
The wedding party
Pippa’s 27-year-old brother, James Middleton, is set to join her fiancé’s three siblings to form the groomsmen. There’s no confirmation yet as to who will join Pippa, but we do know Prince George and Princess Charlotte will have a special role as pageboy and bridesmaid. Kate will most likely not be playing a formal part of the wedding, but might play a smaller role. Check out some adorable throwback pics of Kate and Pippa as flower girls here.
The couple has settled on 150 guests including Prince Harry who will be joined by girlfriend Meghan Markle. A few other celebrities are due to attend, what is to be dubbed the wedding of the year, including reality TV star Spencer Mathews (the groom’s brother), British Broadcaster Ben Fogle, and Roger Federer, according to The Mirror.
The dress code
Pippa has set an interesting dress code for the wedding, kindly asking guests to pack not one, but two outfits. Could this be the start on a new wedding trend? Read more about her dress code here.
While there have been rumours that Giles Deacon will be dressing Pippa for her big day nothing has been confirmed. However, we are buzzing with excitement to see what she chooses to wear. See our 3 wedding dress ideas for Pippa here.
Stayed tuned for this weekend, Fairies!
