A small boutique resort on its own cove south of Lamai, where beach weddings stay private and guest lists top out at about 60.
Ceremonies at Rocky's take place on the resort's private beach, a secluded cove about 1.5 km from Lamai with coconut palms behind and the Gulf of Thailand in front. Couples choose a Thai Buddhist ceremony led by 3 monks with a water blessing, a Western ceremony with an English-speaking secular celebrant, or a Christian format arranged on request. The resort hosts wedding parties of up to about 60 people, so the day feels personal rather than staged.
Guests choose from garden and pool view Deluxe rooms, Premier ocean view and beachfront rooms with plunge pools, the newer Lofty collection with ocean views and pool access, and 2-bedroom pool villas that suit families or the wedding party. Rooms start at 35 square metres.
After the vows, sparkling wine and canapés are usually served on the sand while photos are taken. Receptions can be a private barbecue by the water, a tailored dinner from The Dining Room kitchen, or a seated meal in the private, air-conditioned banquet room. Musicians, fireworks, a cake and photography can all be added, and a pre-wedding meeting with your planner settles timings and styling. With no neighbouring resorts directly beside the cove, the setting stays quiet well into the evening.
Between events, there are 2 pools, one at the beach and one in the upper garden, along with a spa offering Thai massage, aromatherapy and facials, and a fitness centre. The Dining Room runs a Thai night on Tuesdays and a barbecue buffet on Saturdays, both easy ways to gather everyone without planning another event. Lamai's shops and restaurants are a short shuttle ride away, and the Hin Ta and Hin Yai rock formations sit at the southern end of Lamai Beach.
The cove sits about 1.5 km from Lamai with no resorts directly on either side.
