Weddings and celebrations at
Amalfi Coast and Sorrento, Italy

Photos: Grand Hotel Ambasciatori
A 5-star cliff-top hotel in central Sorrento with sea-facing terraces, a pool, and a private beach club at the foot of the cliff.
The Ambasciatori sits on the cliff edge in Sorrento, on Via Califano, facing the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius. Weddings here centre on the terrace, where a champagne toast after the ceremony runs straight into the view, before guests move into the hotel's halls and restaurants for dinner. The hotel can run a formal seated Italian dinner or a buffet, depending on the mood you want.
Guests stay on site across 11 room and suite categories, from Classic rooms through Deluxe and Premier to the Sorrento, Vesuvio and Signature suites, many with balconies over the sea. That makes the hotel a natural base for a full wedding weekend.
For couples marrying legally, Sorrento's civil ceremonies take place at approved town venues a short drive away, after which the celebration returns to the hotel. The park around the building gives space for photographs and quieter moments away from the main party. A suite is set aside for the couple, valet parking handles arrivals, and the events team works with planners on menus, tastings and timings across the day.
Days can be spent at Beach Club Poseidone at the bottom of the cliff, by the pool at Dioniso, or in the wellness centre with its massage rooms and Technogym fitness room. The hotel arranges boat hire and transfers, and Sorrento's port is close by for Capri and Positano.
The panoramic terrace looks across the Bay of Naples to Vesuvius for vows and toasts.
Beach Club Poseidone and its jetty sit at the foot of the cliff.
Essence Wine Room pairs tastings with food, alongside Restaurant Ambassador's fine dining.
The hotel keeps a suite for the couple and handles arrivals with valet parking.
Corso Italia and Piazza Tasso are within walking distance of the hotel.
