Picture your wedding at Malolo Island Resort

A 46-bure island resort in the Mamanuca Islands where most couples marry on the sand at sunset and families have 2 free kids clubs.

Your wedding

The beach at sunset is the most requested ceremony spot at Malolo Island Resort, and the arrival jetty, the tropical gardens and the poolside are all options when you want a different backdrop. The resort can arrange a simple set-up or something more styled, scaled to your guest numbers, and it keeps a wet-weather and high-tide alternative ready because ceremonies here depend on the conditions on the day.

Your stay

Guests stay in 46 plantation-style bures spread through tropical gardens, many a few steps from the beach. Categories run from Island and Oceanview Bures to Deluxe Oceanview and Family Bures that sleep up to 7, plus 2 adults-only Tadra Bures with 4-poster beds that suit the couple. Every bure has air-conditioning, an en-suite and a verandah, but no TV or phone.

After the vows, guests usually move up to Treetops, the resort's evening restaurant set among the palms, for dinner under the stars. The Beach Bar and Terrace give you room for a welcome drink or a relaxed lunch the day after, and private dinners can be laid on the jetty or the sand for a smaller group. Note that the resort does not hold wedding ceremonies on Sundays, so plan your date around that.

Between events, guests can book treatments at Leilani's Spa, take out Hobie cats, kayaks and paddle boards, go diving or parasailing, or head out dolphin spotting. Children aged 4 to 12 have 2 free clubs, Tia's Treehouse and Khail's Club.

What couples love about Malolo Island Resort

  • Sunset beach ceremonies, with the jetty, gardens and pool as alternatives
  • Treetops gives an open-air reception setting among the coconut palms
  • Free kids clubs for ages 4 to 12 keep family guests happy
  • About 25km from Nadi International Airport, reached by boat or helicopter
  • No TVs or phones in the bures, so guests switch off

How do guests get to Malolo Island Resort from Nadi?+
The resort is about 25km from Nadi International Airport. Guests can take the South Sea Cruises catamaran from Denarau Marina (the afternoon service runs direct in about 55 minutes), a private water taxi, or an Island Hoppers helicopter landing at sister resort Likuliku with a 5-minute boat connection.
Is Malolo Island Resort suitable for guests with children?+

Plan your day at Malolo Island

You marry on the beach as the sun goes down over the Mamanuca Islands, or out on the Arrival Jetty above the water. The resort keeps a wet-weather and high-tide alternative ready, because a ceremony on the sand depends on the conditions on the day.

After the vows, your guests move up to Treetops, the open-air restaurant set among the coconut palms, for dinner under the stars. The next day, the Beach Bar suits a relaxed lunch with wood-fired pizza.

Choose your ceremony and reception settings

Your advisor checks each one against your date and guest count:

  • The beach: Say your vows on the sand as the sun sets over the Mamanucas, with the resort's high-tide plan ready if the sea comes in.
  • Arrival Jetty: Marry out over the water on the Arrival Jetty, then come back after dark for a private dinner at its end.
  • Tropical gardens: Exchange your vows in the tropical gardens, with the bures and the palms around you and your guests.
  • Poolside: Say your vows beside the resort pools, with the Pool Bar close by for drinks once the ceremony is over.
  • Treetops: Dine under the stars at Treetops, the open-air evening restaurant set among the coconut palms.

Stay together at Malolo Island

Your guests stay in 46 plantation-style bures in tropical gardens, many a few steps from the beach. Family Bures sleep up to 7, and the 2 adults-only Tadra Bures with four-poster beds suit the couple. There are no TVs or phones in the bures, so guests switch off between events.
