    Day 2 · Lake Titicaca

    The islands of Lake Titicaca

From Puno port a boat takes you to the Uros, a community living on islands built from the totora reeds that grow in the lake, in homes made of the same reed. After about an hour and a half there, continue to Taquile, once part of the Inca Empire, for an introduction to the island, a cultural activity and lunch, then return to Puno.
