Day 1 · Florence
A driver meets you at Florence airport and takes you to your hotel. The evening is free.
Day 2 · Florence
Your guide meets you in the hotel lobby for a walk through the compact historic centre, tracing Michelangelo's work along the way. Visits include Santa Maria Novella, Santa Croce and the Medici Chapels.
Day 3 · Florence
Spend time in the Uffizi's Michelangelo room in front of the Doni Tondo, painted between 1505 and 1507. Then on to the Accademia Gallery to stand before the David, carved from marble between 1501 and 1504 and more than five metres tall.
Day 4 · Florence
A guided walk ends inside Santa Maria del Fiore, Florence's cathedral, with its 15th century frescoes by Paolo Uccello and Vasari's Last Judgement painted inside Brunelleschi's dome. Your guide explains Michelangelo's long connection with the cathedral and the work of his that it holds.
Rome
Day 5 · Rome
A driver takes you to the station for the fast train to Rome. In the afternoon your driver and guide take you to Santa Maria degli Angeli, built by Michelangelo inside the Baths of Diocletian, the colossal Moses in San Pietro in Vincoli, the Campidoglio on the Capitoline Hill and Santa Maria sopra Minerva, home to his Christ Carrying the Cross.
Vatican City
Day 6 · Vatican City
A private car takes you to the Vatican for a guided day through the museums' paintings, sculptures and tapestries, then into the Sistine Chapel. Your guide finishes with an introduction to St Peter's Basilica.

After breakfast your driver takes you to Rome airport.
