Guayaquil
Day 1 · Guayaquil
You arrive in Ecuador's largest city and have time to stroll the Malecón waterfront.
San Cristóbal
Day 2 · San Cristóbal
A charter flight takes you to San Cristóbal and a Zodiac takes you to your yacht. You sail to Kicker Rock, where boobies and frigatebirds line the cliffs.
Day 3 · San Cristóbal
You swim with sea lions or kayak from Cerro Brujo's white coral beach. At Punta Pitt you walk among nesting boobies, frigatebirds and swallow-tailed gulls.
Española
Day 4 · Española
Punta Suarez shows you species found nowhere else on Earth. Later you snorkel with sea lions in Gardner Bay or kayak around its islets, then stargaze on deck.
Floreana
Day 5 · Floreana
You snorkel Devil's Crown, a sunken crater full of fish, turtles and eagle rays. At Post Office Bay you see where whalers once left letters in a barrel.
Santa Cruz
Day 6 · Santa Cruz
You climb into the highlands to meet giant tortoises on a private farm, explore lava tunnels and visit the Charles Darwin Research Station. Dinner is ashore in Santa Cruz.
Santa Cruz and Bartolomé Island
Day 7 · Santa Cruz and Bartolomé Island
You walk Las Bachas beach, where flamingos feed in the lagoons. On Bartolomé you climb a volcanic summit for the view over Pinnacle Rock, then snorkel with penguins.
South Plaza and North Seymour
Day 8 · South Plaza and North Seymour
Land iguanas graze among red succulents on South Plaza, and on North Seymour male frigatebirds puff out their red throats. A final snorkel and the captain's farewell close the cruise.
San Cristóbal and Guayaquil
Day 9 · San Cristóbal and Guayaquil
You step ashore, visit the interpretation centre and walk a trail before flying to Guayaquil or Quito.

Quito → Cotopaxi → Baños → Riobamba → Cuenca → Guayaquil
Begin in Quito and travel south along the Avenue of the Volcanoes with your own driver and guide, from Cotopaxi and the Quilotoa crater to the waterfalls of Baños and the high slopes of Chimborazo. The second half takes in the Inca site of Ingapirca, colonial Cuenca and the lakes of Cajas before a long descent to Guayaquil.

Puerto Ayora → Isabela → Puerto Ayora
Land on Baltra and spend your first night on Santa Cruz after meeting giant tortoises in the highlands. Cross by speedboat to Isabela for two nights of snorkelling, wetlands and a long walk to the Sierra Negra crater, then return to Santa Cruz for a free day and a boat trip to one of the uninhabited islands.

Quito
Stay five nights in Quito and set out each day in a different direction. See the colonial old town and the equator, go north to Otavalo market and the crater lake of Cuicocha, south along the Avenue of the Volcanoes to Cotopaxi, and west into the cloud forest at Mindo.
You fly from Guayaquil to San Cristóbal and board your small yacht for Kicker Rock, Cerro Brujo and the booby colonies at Punta Pitt. The route then runs south to Española and Floreana, back to Santa Cruz for giant tortoises, and on to Bartolomé's Pinnacle Rock. South Plaza and North Seymour bring land iguanas and frigatebirds before you head home.
