    Begin at Petra tou Romiou, the sea stack linked to the birth of Aphrodite, then walk the Roman baths and theatre of Kourion and see the Crusader castle at Kolossi. After lunch at a family restaurant in the hills, wander the cobbled lanes of Omodos and finish with a tasting at a local winery.

    Lefkara and Nicosia

    Walk the lanes of Lefkara, known for its lace and silverwork, then drive to Nicosia. Explore the restored old quarter of Laiki Geitonia inside the Venetian walls, then cross the checkpoint with your guide to see the Cathedral of Saint Sophia, now a mosque.

    The Troodos Mountains

    Visit Platanisteia and the printmaking museum of artist Hambis Tsangaris, then stop for coffee in Arsos, a wine village of terracotta roofs and painted shutters. Mountain tracks lead on through pine forest to the medieval Tzelefos Bridge over the Diarizos River before you return to Paphos.
