Sean and Liz met in New York through an online dating app, just after Liz had just moved there for business school.
“One of my classmates ended up being our mutual connection! Needless to say, after meeting him, I hit the books probably less than I should have!”
Sean took Liz on a romantic vacation around Italy, proposing in a garden in the middle of the Florence countryside.
“He was so nervous that he didn’t realise until after that he ended up getting on one knee in a pile of rocks!”
The sweet proposal led to an unforgettable wedding, filled with love, laughter and immense joy for the happy couple.
“I’m a girly girl at heart so I knew I wanted a pink and white colour palette. My vision was to have a very romantic and glamorous wedding with lots and lots of flowers.”
With an absolutely stunning flower wall by Flowers by Cina made of gorgeous pastel pink and white flowers, the happy couple exchanged their vows.
The most memorable moment of the big day was also a real crowd-pleaser – for their first dance as a married couple, Liz and Sean chose I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing by Aerosmith.
“Two weeks before the wedding, we reached out to a friend who is a dance instructor, begging her to teach us a few basic steps as I have two left feet. I think her inner teacher came out because she wound up choreographing an entire dance for us.
“To my delight, many of our guests came up to us after and said it was the best dance they had ever seen. One guest even asked my husband if he was a professional dancer!”
Congratulations Liz and Sean!
