If you thought Charli XCX’s first ceremony was bold, wait until you see the unseen moments from her Sicilian celebration.
Pearl, Rock & Raven recently released behind-the-scenes photos showing Charli and George DJing in a cave, customized film cameras inscribed with “George & Charli,” and matchboxes bearing their names alongside trays of cigarettes. It’s unapologetically them, brat style meets wedding fantasy.
Let’s dive in.
Charli and George legally wed at Hackney Town Hall in London on July 19, 2025, in an intimate, low-key ceremony with about 20 guests.
But unlike many couples who stop there, they always planned a grander expression of the celebration. Reports revealed their second wedding took place in Sicily at Tonnara di Scopello, a coastal venue in the village of Scopello.
Insiders had called it “star-studded” and “epic,” a fitting stage for the Brat-era couple. And the vows, the ambiance, the surprises? All very, very Charli.
For the Sicilian wedding, Charli donned a custom sheer gown by Danielle Frankel, ivory silk chiffon over an internal bustier, embroidered with organza micro petals and draped ribbons.
Her choice let the silhouette speak softly sideways, matching her fearless transparency. She paired it with white silk pumps and silver earrings, holding a bouquet of eucalyptus, baby blue florals, and gypsophila.
George opted for a relaxed tan suit over a cream shirt, black Oxfords — a look that balanced casual elegance and rock star cool.
At their London wedding, she had shifted from a Vivienne Westwood mini to a Saint Laurent mini for the after-party, in true duality fashion.
What truly sets this event apart are the vibe details:
Cave DJing & “rave cave” party: The reception included a roaring cave party where Charli and George DJed among friends, a ritual that blurred music, love, and after-dark dance.
Custom film cameras: Guests had cameras stamped with “George & Charli” — an invitation to be co-creators of memories.
Matchboxes & cigarettes: A throwback touch, echoing rock’n’roll aesthetics, with matchboxes marked with their names alongside trays of smokes. It’s the kind of detail only someone writing in smoke rings would think to include.
Walking down the aisle to “Hero”: The track by Enrique Iglesias played as Charli walked the aisle, emotional, dramatic, with stage presence baked in.
Guests included bandmates, celebrities like Troye Sivan, and stylists of the Brat sphere.
Charli and George chose to re-celebrate their vows in a way that mirrors who they are: bold, textured, and alive. The cave DJ, the film cameras, the cigarettes, they all say, this is ours.
It also shows a modern wedding truth: for some couples, the legal “I do” is just the beginning. The bigger celebration, aesthetic, and experience are where the heart lives.
For fans, wedding planners, and dreamers, this Sicilian chapter proves that a wedding can be more than ritual. It can be immersive art.
