Millie Bobby Brown Marries Jake Bongiovi in Tuscany, Italy
Millie Bobby Brown is now a happy wife! The Stranger Things star wed her partner of over three years, Jake Bongiovi. The radiant wedding took place in Tuscany, Italy, and was as spectacular as can be. Millie first released official photos via Instagram on October 2, sending the whole world into a swoon.
Though the celebrity couple hasn’t yet announced the exact date of their romantic destination wedding, reports have confirmed that they had legally tied the knot in May 2024 in a quiet and intimate ceremony, surrounded only by family members. This time around, they got to experience a full-blown wedding affair, complete with majestic florals, divine wedding attire, an Italian chateau, and so many more dazzling elements.
Lensed by photographer Sandra von Riekhoff, the wedding was a warm affair, staged in the grand Villa Cetinale Roman, a 17th-century Baroque villa and Italian garden in Tuscany. The couple posed on the grounds, smiling and beaming with joy beneath the Italian sun. In a sweet turn of events, the ceremony was officiated by none other than actor Matthew Modine, who played Martin Brenner a.k.a. ‘Papa’ in Stranger Things alongside Millie. He had known her since she was around 11, making this gesture incredibly heartwarming.
Much like Millie’s bouquet, the couple’s ceremony arch by Marta Petrioli was a snowy vision, crafted out of white roses, baby’s breath, hydrangeas, and more gorgeous layered florals. The whole event was planned and styled by Camilla Boniek, a global event planner based mainly in the UK.
The Wedding Wardrobe
Now, the couple spared no expense in curating an elegant wedding wardrobe that fit perfectly with the poetic garden theme of their springtime nuptials. Jake, the 22-year-old son of hard rock frontman Jon Bon Jovi, kept it dapper in a Tom Ford suit with a white jacket, bowtie, and black trousers.
The bride’s lookbook, on the other hand, was styled by Ryan Young and spanned four jaw-dropping dresses, each with a glamorous vintage touch. The day before the wedding, the bride wore her first gown, a creation from the Fall 1993 by Valentino. The piece featured a ribboned corset bodice, a high neck detail in lace that covered the shoulders, and the most gorgeous ruffled lace skirt. Posing alongside his bride, the groom wore a black tuxedo and a white shirt from Banana Republic.
For the ceremony proper, the bride donned a custom Galia Lahav gown with a wide neckline and lace straps, a basque waist, and a heavenly long train accentuated with a custom cathedral veil by Monvieve.
“We’re so honored to have dressed the one & only Millie Bobby Brown for her fairytale wedding to Jake Bongiovi!” wrote Galia Lahav on Instagram. “Designing her custom gown was such an exciting, fun & creative journey and we couldn’t have done it without the incredible Ryan Young. Every detail came together perfectly & we can’t stop swooning over how stunning she looked! Congrats Millie & Jake—here’s to forever!”
Continuing the lace fixation, Millie changed into a simple yet elegant gown by Oscar dela Renta.
Last but not the least, we have the afterparty! Given that this section of the night usually involves a whole lot of dancing, brides typically opt for shorter dresses. Millie had the same line of thinking, and donned an off-shoulder satin mini dress, accessorizing it with a borrowed bowtie from her newly-minted husband.
Our warmest congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Bongiovi!
