Two becomes three! The Gen Z Hollywood couple just dropped yet another major announcement via a shared Instagram post with the caption: “This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption…”
Yes, you heard that right. In between filming the final season of Stranger Things, running her foster farm, and handling a business, she also found the time to fall in love, get engaged, get married, and welcome a child, all in just three years! It’s a moment that cements the young couple as determined to write their love story on their own timeline.
So, how did we get from bff <3 captions to baby bottles?
Millie revealed on the Call Her Daddy podcast that she actually slid into Jake’s Instagram DMs, and they instantly became friends.
Jake then posted a cheeky photo of the two in June that year, captioned “bff <3” — just enough to send fans into a frenzy, sparking rumors of a brewing romance. Their interactions on social media remained consistent, only fueling speculation and making the internet more curious.
They went Insta-official in November 2021!
By the time Millie turned 18, they were already Hollywood’s newest It Couple. The Barbie-and-Ken birthday outfits went viral, and their BAFTA red-carpet debut sealed the deal.
Jake teased “partner for life” on Instagram in January, then Millie appeared in Milan with a diamond in April, sending the internet into a collective chokehold.
The engagement ring, a family heirloom passed down from her mother, is a cushion-cut diamond set in a cushion-shaped halo on a scallop diamond band. The ring is supposedly white gold or platinum, with the diamond estimated to be around 3–4 carats. A truly beautiful, elegant, and timeless piece, it is valued at high sentiments.

Fast forward to 2024: Matthew Modine, Millie’s Stranger Things co-star and on-screen father, revealed that he would be officiating the couple’s wedding.
In May 2024, the couple was spotted wearing wedding bands in paparazzi photos, which once again started a trail of rumors among internet sleuths.
The couple confirmed their marriage in June, just a few weeks after their private ceremony. They did so in a rather coy and impish manner: Brown posted photos of the couple at Universal Studios, sporting shorts with the word “WIFEY” printed on them and a matching baseball cap that read “Wife of the party.” Cute, fun, and 100% Gen Z nonchalance!
The actual wedding was in October 2024 in Tuscany. Millie had a total of four different looks throughout the wedding: Galia Lahav for the ceremony, vintage Valentino for the reception, Oscar de la Renta for the cake, and Vivienne Westwood for the after-party. Meanwhile, Jake wore an ivory tux with black trousers by Tom Ford and a classic black tux for the reception.
The couple was recently spotted at Millie’s sister’s wedding, with Millie walking down the aisle carrying her nephew. A subtle foreshadowing perhaps?
Just a week later, Millie and Jake officially entered their domestic era, welcoming their daughter via adoption just a little over a year after tying the knot!
