If you’re all about glam, then be prepared to get your credit card ready! Montreal-based, Mikael D closed the World MasterCard Fashion Week with his 2015 Pre-Fall Collection with a huge bang.
Floral appliqués inspired by Chinese art were paired with his signature nude toile, creating an Asian feast of the fashion senses.
Of the collection, Mikael says “I’ve always been interested in the Chinese zodiac and so I was hoping this collection would bring me good luck.”
Having inherited his skill from his parents who designed children’s clothing, Mikael showcased his range of glamorous evening, cocktail and bridal gowns with extraordinary craftsmanship and attention paid to movement and structure.
The skirts were full with luxurious fabrics, fitted styles with feathered bottoms. Grand ball gowns featured daring cut outs, flower-bud embellishments and lavish lace that was crafted using exclusive Chinese floral embroidery.
